Leather Bushel Basket
The Leather Bushel Basket is inspired by old New England orchard baskets. It is constructed of 14-oz. vegetable-tanned saddle leather sourced from the finest American steerhides. It features a drop-in wood bottom in either white oak (perfect for firewood) or aromatic Eastern Red Cedar (ideal for wool blankets and linens).

Fern was founded in Brooklyn, New York by Jason Roskey and Maggie Goudsmit in 2009. Currently, the company is based in New York’s Hudson River Valley where we continue to build upon the region’s long furniture tradition. We design and make bench-crafted studio furniture. Our focus is a number of furniture designs with an emphasis on customization for our clients. We operate a design & fabrication studio and a retail showroom in the town of Hudson, NY. With access to some of the country’s finest hardwoods and a growing creative community, Hudson has allowed us to realize our goal of designing and making contemporary, timeless furniture using sustainable practices.
