Brdr. petersens polstermøbelfabrik
Brdr. Petersens Postermøbelfabrik was founded 1973 by the twin brothers Egon & Erling Petersen. The company is located in an old farmhouse in the country side outside Aarhus, Denmark.
From the very beginning the two brothers made Danish furniture focusing on upholstered seating furniture designed by themselves and later more renowned designers as Andreas Hansen and Rasmussen og Rolff at 2R design.
Their experience in developing and producing upholstered furniture soon became apparent by other Danish furniture producers. Since the middle of the 1980s the main part of the business has been as a subcontractor for several of the leading Danish furniture brands.
In 2011 Brdr. Petersen launched their own series of Danish design classics. Starting with the Radio House Sofa by Vilhelm Lauritzen and later Oda Chair by Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel and several designs by Ib Kofod-Larsen.
"We will continue as a sparring partner and subcontractor for the furniture industry as well as expanding our own furniture collection with models that we think deserves a wider audience."
